Sophos Endpoint Protection with EXP - How to tell it is installed

At the last subscription update, I added EXP to the endpoint protection software itself.  I have a few questions if I may:

1) I'm on SEC 5.5.0 and appear to be able to push the EXP module out to clients. Is it possible just to run the sec_551_sfx.exe  on the console server and hope it upgrades or is there more to it than that?

2) Once I've pushed the EXP module out to clients, how can I tell from the SEC if the client has EXP installed?

3) Also, how can I tell if the client has EXP installed at the client itself?

and lastly

4) I have about 5 macs. Do I need to 'join' them to the windows domain in order to manage them in SEC?

    Hello Richard Carroll,

    1) for the details of an upgrade please see the Upgrade Guide on the Enterprise Console Documentation page. Essentially you back up your database and then run the installer. SEC 550 supports EXP but only with a rudimentary management, so you should upgrade

    2) you have perhaps not yet noticed but there's an Exploit prevention status column under the Status tab as well as an Exploit Prevention tab, the applicable columns will be non-blank

    3) in the Sophos GUI View product information (on the left under Help and information), or Control Panel → Programs and Features

    4) no
