Sophos Endpoint: right click scanning: Error code 0xc0000001

apparently you get lots of these - all for this user? Which folder did you scan?
I have neither seen 0xC0000001 nor that Sophos Endpoint Defense issued an error so perhaps it's a good idea to open a case with Support.

Yes, I get lots of these;

Sophos Endpoint is running on a Domain controller; I have now scanned another Folder (which is jist a shared folder, not a User-Folder) where I also got 150 of these Error code messages;

It seems that they are triggered by .exe .dll .ocx .nls  .mpd files.. So I guess all files with executable code in it, which aren't in Program files...

is this the on-premise SESC or Central? Just asking because Sophos Endpoint Defense seems to differ significantly, version 1.0.7.2 vs. 2.1.2.7 - although the SESC Preview version of SED is  2.1.2.8000 and doesn't show this behaviour.

The only time I have seen this occur would possibly be when some backup software is running while the scan is occurring. This error may have come up because the file is locked at the time of the scan. If you have any backup software running at that time, can you see if they have any recommended A/V exclusions?
