Item Adware/PUA in the quarantine list cannot be eliminated. "Authorize" action is the unique action avaiable. Tips? Is it a risk?

This item is always displayed after scanning. It seems not to be possible to eliminate / clean it from the machine.

  • Hello Juan ManuelMelendez,

you've omitted the details - name of the detection and path/filename so it's not possible to give specific advice. Adware/PUA is not necessarily malicious (please see Authorize in the How to remove ... article). The article has detailed instructions for dealing with these detections.

  • Hi!

Thank you very much for your answer.

    The file is: C:\ .... \Chrome\User Data\Default\File System\005\t\00\00000000\FILE:0000
It seems the message can be ignored.

Note from the article you send me: If the component detected ends with FILE:0000 or similar then the component was detected as it was attempting to run and will not exist on disk - you can therefore ignore all detected components that end like this.

    Thanks again for you help!
