NetApp vscan Error Message

0x2 means 'The system cannot find the file specified.' -

so the most probable explanation is that the filer requested a scan of a file, but by the time the scan was attempted the file was no longer present in the specified location.

This is fairly standard NetApp functionality, there being 3 statuses returned by anti-virus servers for scan requests:

0x0 - 'Clean' or 'OK'
0x2 - The system cannot find the file specified
0x5 - Access is denied - generally caused by a viral file
