WarehouseListData: Failed to load valid customer file content. Error: Cannot locate server for

 Good Day!

I was trying to update other update management (Server_2) from another network to an update manager with internet access (Server_1). I was able to access the WEB CID of the Server_1 from Server_2 and able to download some files from it. However, I can't download updates when I tried to configure my update manager from Server_2 [http//Server_1/SophosUpdate]

Here's some logs came from SUMTrace:

  • Hello Floki,

    just copy the warehouse
a SUM maintains its own warehouse. It has to download from another warehouse (whether it's the life warehouse on the share or a copy). Updates imply the necessary initial download and creation of the warehouse.

The path is correct, whether you need credentials (and which ones) depends on your IIS configuration. Anyway they are independent from your license credentials (and I'd advise against configuring IIS with them).

The screenshot shows that updating succeeded on the 17th - though it refers to the configuration in use at this time. Your license has changed suggests some muddle. I'd View Update Manager Details (there are likely additional alerts or errors) and re-check the configuration and subscriptions (packages) on server_2. Once potential errors are corrected it should result in a successful update.
If some obscure error persists I'd (once more) empty Warehouse and Working (stopping the SUM service before doing so), this should be safe insofar as it doesn't make things worse.

  • Hi Christian,

I think the issue is now resolved.

What I did is that I created a UpdateSource in Server_2 then pasted the Warehouse from Server_1. Was able to update from Update source.

After I successfully updated the warehouse of server_2, I configured the its SUM then pointed it to http://Server_1/SophosUpdate

Was able to confirm that Server_2 can download files from HTTP.

Also I followed this one https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/64787, I just noticed that some files can't be downloaded from WEB_CID of Server_1 (Might be the cause of the problem earlier).

    Thanks!
