Edge browser being blocked after Windows 10 update 1809

Is anyone at Sophos working on fixing the issue of the Sophos Endpoint Protection client blocking the Edge browser from access any sites after the the Windows 10 1809 update is applied?

 

Microsoft is pointing the finger at Sophos and says it's their issue to fix.

 

I can get everything to work if I disable Network Threat Protection on the users client app.  But I really don't want to do that fro all my users.

 

I was hoping that Sophos would address this issue but it's been 3 days and no fix.

  • Looks like Malicious Traffic detection is not detecting this edge version as a valid browser and is blocking all http comms from it. As a side note, this behaviour only happend when connected to private or domain profile networks. If you connect with a public network profile, it works. Hope this info helps.
