How to disable On Access scanning from Google Drive Sync (SAVOnAccess Errors)

How to I create an exclusion to stop end points from attempting to scan Google drive files?

I am getting 100's of SAVOnAccess errors in my event log every few minutes. Looking at the sav.txt file I see;

20180201 000033 Scanning "G:\My Drive\Marketing\Dog.jpg" returned SAV Interface error 0xa0040202: Scan failed.

I see a setting in Policies to disable scanning of remote files, is this what control that?
