MacOS Endpoint EAP - April 2022 Update

We've joined the macOS EAP and assigned a Mac to it, but the Mac isn't updating past 10.3.4, is there a way to force it to update to the EAP version?

There isn't a way to force an upgrade, it should happen automatically. We are actually in the process of releasing 10.3.7 to Recommended right now so you may want to keep devices where they are and check for that as it includes all the fixes that were in the EAP.

We've been asked to update to the EAP version on this particular Mac as part of a Sophos support ticket. What about uninstalling and reinstalling, will that get us the EAP version?

You can certainly try that, make sure to reboot after uninstalling. There is only one installer, if the device is allocated to the EAP it should get the version associated with that rather than Recommended.

That still got me 10.3.4. If we have an on-premise Update Cache, is there something we have to do to it to get it to add the EAP version to its cache?

Looks like I may need to create a special Update Management policy for this Mac in Sophos Central, to get it to not use the cache?

this worked, I now have 10.3.5 on the device.
