How to temporarily disable Sophos Cloud client?

Every now and then I have to install a software or run an additional antivirus scan tool that requires that I disable the antivirus on the user's PC. How can I disable Sophos Cloud client on user's PC?When I right click Sophos Cloud icon on lower right corner or when I open the client, I don't see a disable option anywhere. I didn't find one on the Sophos Cloud website dashboard either.

Thanks for your help!

  • I dislike the complexity of this process, but what I found (if Tamper Protection is enabled), is that you log into your Sophos Cloud console, find the specific device and copy the "Tamper Protection" password.  Then on the local machine, open the Sophos Endpoint Security and Control>Authenticate user (paste password here).  You will then be able to open Configure anti-virus and HIPS>On-access scanning.  It is here that you can disable the "on-access" scanning.
