Utilizing Intercept X on Windows 7

We are facing a situation where we need to use Intercept X with Windows 7. The challenge is that the client cannot upgrade the system due to incompatibility with certain medical instruments. 
 We are considering using Intercept X as an antivirus solution, which is why we are seeking your suggestions

 In addition, you should look for opportunities to use other controls to protect your client's environment. Network segmentation, IPS, network detection and response (NDR), and Windows hardening may all be helpful.
