D: drive may be missing randomly on PC installed Intercept X Endpoint

Desktop PC has two HDDs, C: and D:. An issue is that D: drive may be missing on Windows 10 following cases. D: drive may be recovered after PC reboot but it's not 100%. Does anyone face this issue? If you give any troubleshooting or hints, it would be helpful for me. Don't know the reason why the drive is missing randomly.

Cases:

1. D: drive may be missing while installing Intercept X Endpoint. If PC reboot, D: drive may be recovered but not 100%.

2. Even if Intercept X Endpoint is completed with recognized D: drive, the drive may be missing randomly while PC runs.

Thanks,

yasu

  • Hi Yasu,

Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum.

I haven’t seen this type of issue previously. Did you experience any similar issues before installing Sophos onto the affected device? Are any errors being generated from Sophos when you encounter this issue?

If the problem goes away when you uninstall Sophos, I suggest isolating the Sophos drivers loaded into the OS after re-installing. I will reach out to you via PM to share further guidance.
