Sophos Endpoint Protection for macOS and JAMF

Hello All,

As im sure you all must know, the "Download Complete macOS Installer" is in fact not the "complete" installer, and is only a Sophos Installer.app with specific information regarding the account to register it to in the SophosCloudConfig.plist file.

This would be all fine and well, if not for trying to deploy this via JAMF and push it to remote users, without having to do a remote session to install it, one by one.

Has anyone come up with a way to accomplish this via JAMF?

Sorry if this is a "newb" question. I'm new to mac MDM stuff.

It was working for me, until today when I tried to get the new Sophos installer working.  I can't for the life of me get the command line install working with their new installer. All it every says is that it failed and check the install.log for details. The log says nothing of relevance, except that it failed and to contact the vendor. Swell.

Normally, once I confirm that is working, I'd do something like the above link or build it all in a standard pkg for deployment with Munki (similar to Jamf for installing like this).

Automated deployment on Macs seems to be not even an afterthought with Sophos, the fact that they don't have a standard .pkg like everyone else shows ignorance/lack of seriousness in this space.

I'm a little punchy from wasting an afternoon on this, I admit.
