how to reinstall Sophos free tools after uninstall without reregistering?

HI I have uninstalled free tools due to a scan problem (following course of action recommended by Sophos Community)

Now I should reinstall, but now it appears I cannot download and install Sophos Freee Tools without reregistering.

 

What should I do ? Suck it up and use a different email? Find a way to download Sophos without changing my existing account?

  • OK, think I found it: simply go into the Sophos cloud account and remove the device. An option appears which allows you to download the Sophos FT once again.

    Yes. That's it.  Removing the Sophos Home product is a two-step process:

    1. Removing it from the device by using the Remove Sophos Home app

    2. Removing it from the Dashboard.

    Whether you remember to remove the device from your Dashboard or not, won't matter when you are reinstalling.

    To install/reinstall Sophos Home on a computer, use the web browser on that computer to log into your Sophos Home desktop.  Click on the Add Device button at the top left of the Dashboard.  This will download the appropriate version of Sophos Home for your computer.

    After Sophos Home is reinstalled, check your Sophos Home Dashboard from any computer.  The new device should be listed.  If it has been reinstalled, you may see a message stating that Sophos Home was reactivated for the device (or something similar).
