Deny file

Hello, I already asked my question but it apparently disappeared with the new forum Since I installed Sophos on my mac (Mavericks), I get the several messages "sandboxd : com.apple.Webkit deny file-read-data /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security-common.plist" in the Console when I use Safari. I also have the same message with "airportd" instead of webkit when I connect to Wifi. I found the file, it was created at the moment I installed Sophos and wasn't open since. Should I worry about it ? thanks

    I was talking to Bob about this one, and that file has nothing to do with SAV, so I'm not really sure what to tell you about it. Do you notice any sort of performance issues, or are you just curious about the log entries?

    Safari is a bit slower.
    I'm pretty sure it has something to do with SAV because it was created at the moment I installed SAV. I tried to find it in my Time Machine backup, it never existed on my computer before. When I open the file with Textedit there is something about "Sophos Keychain" inside.
    Somebody talked about this file in a tutorial to remove SAV "read only keychain" after uninstall but i'm unable to find it on your new website.

    So I did a bit more digging into this and learned that actually the file is created / modified by the Apple Keychain.

    Keychain is used by SAV to store sensitive information (basically, the credentials SAV uses to download updates from our servers.) So, the file isn't exactly created by us, but is created when our credentials go into the Keychain.

    As for why Webkit (which is a software component of Safari) and the Airport daemon are throwing these errors... I couldn't tell you.

    Do you think these errors can prevent SAV from working properly ?

    Also (I don't think it's related) when I do a full system scan or a custom scan on the entire hard drive on my admin account, SAV doesn't scan everything (the number of files in the Console at the end of the scan is smaller than the number in Disk Utility).
    Is it normal ?
