"An Incompatible product is installed" : Migrating from SAV Enterprise Ver 7.x to SAV HE 9.x

Some similar threads on here but none seem to fix this particular problem:

I have an enterprise copy of SAV v7.xx on my mac and my organisation no longer provide support/updates for this.  I ran the uninstall program from within the from the/Library/Sophos Anti-Virus/ folder.  Folder, app and icon in top bar all vanished, as expected.

i then went to install SAV HE v9.x and got the "An Incompatible product is installed" error.

Is there some other uninstall app i can run or can someone tell me where what HE is finidng to think it is still installed so I can manually delete it?
