I just downloaded the free Virus Removal Tool on my Windows 7, specifically to remove the Brontok worm that's been plaguing me. But the virus has a way of blocking certain actions on the computer, as well as randomly shutting down and rebooting. That's why I think it's the Brontok doing this.
When I open the .exe file to run the tool, it will run through the InstallShield Wizard up until the point of clicking Install. As soon as I do, the box flashes, then reads:
InstallShield Wizard Completed
The wizard was interrupted before Sophos Virus Removal Tool could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.
Click Finish to exit the wizard.
And that's that. So please suggest how to install the tool so I can get rid of this frustrating virus!
