I have a windows computer running home version of windows 7. I have run this tool and it returns a hit for a Trojan virus
Troj/FvTerMem-b
SVR control panel then comes back up with a message that the tool has removed the virus. The scan then continues and when completed, I get a message that I should send the file containing the virus to Sophos via e mail. I then try to send it and I get a message that my machine must have an internet connection in order to send the file. (I do have an internet connection.) I have run the program a total of four times in the last week and in each case, the same messages appear.
I am not sure now if, (a) the program has removed the Trojan virus, there is no quarantine file so I am not sure if the file is in quarantine. (b) the program has been corrupted somehow (I have deleted and reinstalled the program and updates have occurred via Sophos). I have also run the windows malicious file program and it has not found anything either prior to using SVR or after SVR has been run. Are there any other known instances of this behavior or any suggestions on how to proceed?
thanks for the help'
