  • Hello Ludovic BROCHARD,

    use it in production environnement
is this a legal (production=commercial) or a technical (production=dependable) question? For the former please see the Sophos End-User License Agreement and the Licensing Guidelines as well as the download page (to cite from the latter: ... so updates are easy on your network and your Linux machines) - as far as I can see (I'm not Sophos) it is not restricted to private and non-commercial use (as is noted on the page for Sophos Home). Technically it has no limitations (licensed versions have more features not least central management). Please note that it might not "eternally" remain free for all uses.

  • Hello Christian,

    Thank you for your answer.

This is a legal question. My production environment is my clients environment. I am not a web host but a subcontractor.

When you download the free sophos antivirus, it's not the same End-Use license in french. In section 3.4 there is 10 point and not 7.

In the french version there is more restriction .... https://www.sophos.com/fr-fr/support/downloads/eula.aspx

    But thank you.

    Regards,

    Ludovic.

  • Hello Ludovic,

the french version [is not the same]
and the German as well (as far as I can see it resembles the French). But may I draw your attention to 14.10: En cas de contradiction entre la version en langue anglaise du Contrat de Licence et toute traduction, la version en langue anglaise prévaudra.
As said, I can't see any restrictions (you can put the blame on me and anyway they're still British and won't send out a bunch of lawyers [;)])
