Sophos icon goes gray and becomes inactive

In the past six months I have had two incidences where I get an error message that Sophos Home Ed. on my Mac is not working. The first time I removed and re-installed the program and today it happened again. I tried to update but it had just been updated. I had to use the general Sophos removal tool (the one in my Applications folder didn't work which might indicate some corruption issue). The version is 9.2.2  Any explanation for the problem. I just ran a scan with the re-installled program and its seems to have worked OK

    I'm curious if anyone has noticed anything unusual in the logs when this happens. If it happens again, it would be helpful if you could take a look and let us know what you see.

    This video will show you how to check the logs.

    Also, if you reboot the computer, does it go back to normal?
