Common LAN location for virus definition updates?

I am just testing out Sophos as a replacement for Intego's VirusBarrier on my home network.

I have a MacMini running OSX server and 5 mac Yosemite clients (all laptops). I also have very limited bandwidth (3G modem) which is very expensive. With VirusBarrier I have one client download updates to a shared volume on the server and the other 4 clients check this folder for updates and download from it.

Is this possible with Sophos MacHomeAV?

    Hello Mark,

    the HE updates directly from Sophos. There's no way to have it updating automatically from another source - and please note that there is only one updating mechanism which updates whatever has changed (definition every few hours and larger updates - definitions library, engine and potentially other components - roughly monthly).
