On my computer, it seems that TimeMachine on Mac OS 10.12 Beta 8 is incompatible with Sophos Anti-Virus scanning. (Sophos Anti-Virus Home Edition version 9.5.2)
With scanning turned on, TimeMachine backups to a locally attached disk are extremely slow (as in taking many hours to complete a backup that would otherwise complete in minutes). TimeMachine backups to a networked mounted location do not work at all, as TimeMachine does not succeed in mounting the disk image. (It does successfully connect to the share on which the disk image is located).
With Sophos AV scanning turned off, normal functioning is restored.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
