Scan of Mac reports threats relevant only to Windows OS!

Why does a scan of my Mac report trojans which only apply to the Windows OS?  It would seem these can be filtered out so I see only the threats which can have impact to my computer.   As it is, I have to click on each to learn that they do not apply.  This is a waste of my time.

If, for example, the trojan is an attachment to an email you've received, if you forward the email to someone else (who is more likely to be using a PC rather than a Mac), you run the risk of affecting (i.e., infecting) them.

  • While that is true, such attachments tend to be (100% so far) in spam that I don't even look at, let alone forward.  [And friends don't let friends use Windows...]

It is annoying to have to click through each and every one of them to find out they are Windows-specific and therefore I do not care.  I have no illusion that I can clean the world for others by cleaning my Mac of Windows-related viruses.
