This question keeps getting asked, and it is such a simple feature I don't understand why it doesn't bubble to the top of the backlog. As a software developer, it would be so simple to: 1) add a pause button, 2) persist the point at which the pause took place to allow the scan to continue even after a reboot, 2) add periodic checkpoints so if the computer crashes the scan can be picked up after the reboot.
