cannot install Sophos Antivirus.

When I try and run the Sophos Installer.app on OSX 10.11.5, I get the message "The application "Sophos Installer.app" can't be opened."

I tried disabling Gatekeeper to allow all applications to install, not just apps from Mac App Store and identified developers, but no go.
