Sophos Home Edition (Mac) won't update - says could not contact primary server

Help!  I'm trying to update my Sophos Home Edition version 9.4.2 and it won't update.  It's saying "Could not Contact Primary Server".   This is usually set on autoupdates so when I saw the sophos logo with an x on the upper right hand side of my Macbook, I knew something was up.  I've tried several times to download updates manually but no can do.  Please help.

I'm in the Philippines and running OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.4 on a Macbook Air.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Yours truly,

Jo

  • I am teaching in London presently; I am having the same problem:

MacBook Pro, El Capitan 10.11.6, Sophos 9.6.3 Small Business edition

Superfast internet (70mb/s down, 60 up, and currently connected). This is day two of Sophos not being able to update.

And renewed licence a few weeks ago.
