Computer says last scan was October 2015 yet it is set to run 3 times a week and have run several manual tests. Does this mean that there is an undetected virus on my Mac?

I noticed this morning that Sophos says that it has not run a scan since October 2015. I have run several manual scans plus it is set to automatically scan several times a week. Does this mean that there is a virus?
