Why do I now have TWO Sophos icons in my MacBook Pro menu bar?

I got a warning box about a threat, and deleted the threat this morning. This afternoon I noticed there are TWO identical Sophos icons in the menu bar- is this a bad thing?

But yesterday, Sophos went through its update process starting with two icons, and after the update process was finished (which included both icons showing the updating arrow and then disappearing), the two icons were still there. While it's more cosmetic than anything else, it doesn't inspire confidence.

    At the same time, running Lion, the double icon issue stopped a while ago and has yet to return.
