How do I get a version of AV for Mac compatible with OSX 10.6.8, which I need to run because I need Rosetta?

I need a version of AV for Mac that will run on 10.6.8. I can't upgade the OS because I need Rosetta. Where can I get an old enough version, and will it update to have the latest virus information?

It's not clear to what degree you need access to Rosetta (i.e., one program there's no upgrade for or something that's running constantly) but you should be aware that it's possible to virtualize Snow Leopard Server, using VMware Fusion or Parallels. That way, you can upgrade to a more recent and more secure version of OS X while still having access to Rosetta, with SLS (and that program that needs Rosetta) running inside a window on your Mac. You'd need to buy SLS from Apple by phone (800-692-7753), saying "I want to purchase Snow Leopard Server" and then ask specifically for Part # MC588Z/A. At $20, it's not a bad deal.
