Troj/DocDrp-L Mac Home version of Sophos was unable to remove it

Troj/DocDrp-L showed up in my Quarantine Manager.  Used the Removal tool in the Mac Home version of Sophos and it was unable to remove it...

It kept trying to remove, but got nowhere.  Any ideas??  I am in the process of updating Sophos for Mac and running a complete scan to see what happens.

I believe it downloaded with an email with Mac's MAIL program.

  • I have Sophos Home for Mac and have received an alert that I have a Trojan that can only be removed manually. No matter where I look, I cannot find a way to manually delete this Trojan. The "How to"button takes me to a page that was last updated in November 2001 and which provides a solution using "Sophos AntiVirus for Mac" which has now been discontinues and folded into Sophos Home. Can anyone help me with this question?

    Thank you:

    PS: The Trojan description is:

    ?Spotlight-V100/Store-V2/D69D147F-5549-43B5-9CB4-1084EBE43F8C/Cache/0000/0000/0026/2493830.txt
  • The correct Trojan description is:

    /Spotlight-V100/Store-V2/D69D147F-5549-43B5-9CB4-1084EBE43F8C/Cache/0000/0000/0026/2493830.txt
  • My original post should state that the page was last updated in November 2011, not 2001 as stated.
  • Hi David,

Thank for the feedback. My version of Sophos Home does not appear to have a quarantine manager. I used to use Sophos AntiVirus for Mac which did have Quarantine manager as one of the methods to delete trojans, malware et al . Since updating to Sophos Home, ut seems to have disappeared. If you an advise where you found it, I would be grateful.

    Cheers

    Roger
