Slow Chrome and Safari issue

So been trouble shooting for the past 2 days. Chrome and Safari have the same issue with both.  Webpages just either don't load or time out.  I have changed my DNS settings, cleared my cache, rebooted in safe mode, reset my router, and a few other things.  Nothing is working.  So I uninstalled Sophos and it seemed to clear things up.  I then went to download it again to see if my issue came back and its a different application than the one i had.  Seems like this new one is cloud based.  In any event I am back to having issues.  Its driving me nuts.

  • Having same problem here, I think - browser pages not loading ("can't establish connection") for a few weeks, probably soon after I installed Yosemite. Usually a second try loading a page works, but headaches when trying to fill out questionnaire pages or doing banking. So... in the old version of Sophos, I disabled "web protection" and that has worked, no page-loading errors... Until today when I was just checking around and realized Sophos has upgraded us all to its Home version, which doesn't offer a choice to disable web protection and I installed it anyway, thinking they might've fixed the bug. Because now the problem's back. I'm now going to uninstall Sophos and install ClamAV and hope.
