I have the same problem. I have placed all Sophos files that I could find in the trash on my iMac 21" and tried to install another type of Virus checker but I keep on getting the message that I cannot install the new virus checker because Sophos is still installed. I have tried using the Sophos uninstaller and get the message that the software has been uninstalled. However, when I try to install the new virus checker I get the same message as before.
My iMac has the latest version of Yosemite installed. I do not know what version of Sophos SAV that I had originally.
Can anybody help please? This is my first post!
