unable to manually remove OSX/VSearch-A

Sophus is not removing OSX/Vsearch-A (there are actually two threats detected now OSX/Vsearch-A and OSX/Vsearch-D   see attached graphic).

I have followed the steps in the how to manually remove help files, but with no success.

I haven't "done" anything with the Volume  - see second graphic - am afradi to try ejecting it for fear somehting bad (worse?) might happen.

ANy thoughts on how to proceed would be most welcome.

thanks

John

  • I'm having a similar issue with both OSX/VSearch-A and OSX/VSearch-D. I end up with the message "The operation can't be completed because backup items can't be modified". They appear to be stuck in Time Machine Backups. I have tried ADMedic and visiting the Time Machine site listed in this thread. I appreciate any suggestions to remove them.
