Sophos UTM to Sophos XG licensing

Hi all,

I'm a Astaro UTM user since 2005 and I'm running the actual version v9 I my home lab on a DELL R220 with a custom UTM license I received for beta testing in the past. This was a 100 IP license with everything activated. The R220 has 4 cores / 8 Threads and 8GB memory. When moving to XG I would be striped down to 4 cores (don't know if also HT cores are counting but I guess so) and 6GB which isn't so pleasant for me. Is there also a special edition for XG Home User Firewalls to activate mote cores and memory.

I'm not probably the standard home user so that would be great if there would be a way so I can move forward to XG.

    Hi , Welcome to Sophos Community.

    Currently, XG Home Edition is limited to 4 Cores and 6GB RAM as you said but there's no other edition available for XG Home that allows activation more cores and memory.

    However, We do have the software licenses available for 16 CPU and 24GB RAM and also Unlimited CPU and unlimited RAM, but these are paid licenses. Software licenses are for running SFOS on any third-party hardware.

    You can buy these licenses from our partners or resellers.
