SophosAutoUpdate on Mac writes a lot of data every day

Question

Hey! I use free Sophos Home (M1, BigSur and Inter, BigSur) and I've noticed that AutoUpdate writes 2-3Gb and reads 4-5Gb per day. What exactly these updates consist of? Like 2-3Gb doesn't seem like antivirus bases. Is this normal?

 I relayed your question, they mention it's not possible to change the update interval, this is to keep the computer updated with the latest features/malware updates. 
 I am still waiting on feedback about the Sophos Autoupdate.
