How to scan linux encrypted home directory

When SAV for Linux On-access scanning, often appears a message like:

Error scanning file
/home/.ecryptfs/user/...
Access to the file has been denied

Does this means that encrypted folders are never scanned ?
Is there any option to scan encrypted folders ?

Hey Antonydb,

Sophos won't be able to scan the folders since we don't have access to the encryption keys. The following article should be able to provide you with some insight on this: https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/134013.
