Debian10 Sophos error message

Since I have updated to Debian 10 (Buster) I receive from time to time following error message:

"error scanning file /tmp/.gnome_desktop_thumbnail.0K9Y4Z File access denied"

Does anybody has an explanation for this? With Debian 9 this problem did not occur.

  • That is for a similar error for pid/lock files accessed by ntpd, which has an apparmor profile that allows ntpd to only write to the files, not read them.

I don't think this is related to that, since it's likely that anything in /tmp will be read as well as written.
