SBAV.iso [52011] PCs are unable to run the disc

Dear Community,

I have a suspicion about a pc being infected with malware etc...

So I looked up article "52011" and it looked very promising after doing all the steps that it might work out. However my problem is that the computer is unable to run the cd.

As I was burning the completed .iso file to the cd using windows explorer, i had choosen the mastered disc format. According to paragraph 8 of article "52011" this should be right, isn't it? "

[...] 8. Select the option to create a disk image. Do NOT select the option create a bootable CD. The image to burn is already a bootable disc. [...]"

Can some one help me please? ( I would really appreciate it! )

Yours sincerely

Jona Otto

  • Hello Jona Otto,

you selected Burn files to disc when prompted after inserting the blank CD? This isn't the appropriate method as you don't want to write the sbav.iso file to the disc (potentially together with other files but to write the image to the disc. If you right-click on the .iso you should get either as default or as Open with → option Windows Disc Image Burner.

  • Hello Christian,

thanks for replying, my mistake was to use the explorer (Windows 10) instead of taking a serious burning tool.

I installed  "ImgBurn" and it was able to properly write the .iso file to the disc. This thread can be closed...
