There are a number of options available for savscan
such as --stay-on-filesystem
, --no-follow-symlinks
, -bs -mbr
(for boot sector scans) that are not available through the scheduled named scan configuration. Similarly, the excludeExtension
option from a named scheduled scan has no equivalent for savscan
. It would be useful if there were a consistent set of options available to both scans. If there's no desire to make the (simple) set of options for a named scheduled scan too complex, then it would be useful to have at least an equivalent for excludeExtension
through savscan
which could then be run via a cron job.
If there is indeed already a way to exclude files based on extension with savscan
, please let me know!
