SafeGuard and Patched Windows Recovery CD

I read the article about how to patch Windows Recovery Environment (https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/117092.aspx)

But that appears to work if i can boot my system and patch WinRE.

My system is stuck in safe mode, it starts to boot so I know it can see C drive.

I can't get to a login prompt, nor get out of Safe Mode.

Can I make a Windows Recover CD/DVD with the patch on it so I can run Startup Repair externally?

Hi,
You would be best to download the Sophos WinPE recovery CD - You can find it here:
https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/108805.aspx
Once you have downloaded and created the recovery CD, boot to it, and then you have a number of different recovery options available in the recovery scenarios guide, link below:
