Windows 10 Kiosk Mode with SafeGuard (Bitlocker TPM Only)

Hello,

i have 4 Notebooks with TPM Chip. Installed with Windows 10 Pro and Encrypted with Sophos Safeguard / Bitlocker.

The Notebooks work as an "Kiosk PC" so i configured a local user with auto login and will Start in Kiosk Mode to only show one app in full screen.

But this dent work if i installed SafeGuard. The user Log In and the PC log me out.

I tested it on the same Notebook with exact the same installation but without SafeGuard and it work perfect.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Best regards Denis

  • Hi Denis - I'm afraid this is a feature. You MUST log in with the Sophos credential provider (the Sophos tile/cog) for SafeGuard to work as expected.

Logging in via the Windows credential provider with AutoLogin wouldn't work or be supported either I fear....

I'm sure there must be a solution but if it was me I would BitLocker the PC manually and store a copy of the recovery key on USB/paper. You could then use Auto Login with no issues. Not really a solution but a workaround?
