POA disabled post migrating to new SafeGuard Server environment

A new child domain has a new safeguard environment which needs existing encrypted laptops migrated into the new child domain and point to the new safeguard server.

once done the laptops don't get their PoA anymore. Directly passthrough to the Windows Auth Screen.

not able to see if the user cert migrated

any suggestions.

  • Hi CSr,

In general, if you migrate SafeGuard Clients to a new domain, the User Machine Assignment of the client will be reset and the Power-On Authentication (POA) will be in the "autologon" state for one reboot. The first User that logs on will become "Owner" of the machine and re-enable the POA - if the SafeGuard Server can be reached.

Could you describe how you perform the migration of the clients in detail?

Is the new SafeGuard environment based on the Company Certificate of the original environment or did you create a new Company Certificate?

    Regards,

    ChrisD
