Remember last logon domain selection

So on our SafeGuard roll outs we may have upto three seperate possible selctions users can chosse for their domain while logging in.

1 - Company domain

2 - local PC name

3 - Sophos POA

Now is there a way the logon can default to say the company domain rather than say the local PC name.  SOmetimes if the user doesnt pay attention they will lock the PC while attempting to log on using domain credentials while the local PC name is selected for the domain

Also SAfeGuard doesnt seem to remember to use the company domain on a reboot and may choose to default to the local PC name.

What I meant above was that if user A (who is adopted) logs into PC using company domain from drop down and domain credentials and then proceeds to log into windows and then reboots PC  Once the PC reboots it may go back to displaying the local PC name as the default selection in the domain drop down field.  User has to keep remembering to verify that company domain is selected before logging in so they dont lock PC.

  • Hi SS2010,

There is a policy in SafeGuard under 'Authentication' called "Activate user/domain preselection".

This needs to be set to Yes for SafeGuard to remember the logon settings.
