Hopefully you can be of assistance. The company I work for uses Safeguard Enterprise 6.0. I'm in charge of handling the viruses that pop up on certain machines. Every single machine we have that is encrypted with Sophos won't allow the owner of that machine to get into Windows via safe mode. I get to the login screen, it says that it is logging in then immediately says logging off. It then returns me to the login screen.
We are running all of our systems on Win 7 64bit. I am however able to sign into POA in safe mode and enter my own credentials and it allows me into Windows fine. The owner of the machine however is still in the boot loop.
Some of the viruses I run into are profile related. So logging in as the user in regular mode and running a scan doesn't always do the trick because the scanning program can't kill the process for the virus thus not allowing it to remove it. That is why I need to get into safe mode as the owner of the Sophos'd laptop.
Any suggestions? This is happening on every single laptop. I don't understand why the owner can't get into safe mode and gets into that log in/ log off windows loop.
