I have few questions on the upgrade process: Can this be done in place on the existing server. Does 5.60.11 use SQL? Was not around when Sophos was installed and not sure where the database is. Any else I need to be aware with the process. Any help will be appreciated. :45001

Upgrading SGN 5.60.01 to 6.01

I have few questions on the upgrade process:

Can this be done in place on the existing server.
Does 5.60.11 use SQL? Was not around when Sophos was installed and not sure where the database is.
Any else I need to be aware with the process.

Hi,
It can be done.
But You need SQL 2005 SP3
After that upgrade your DB using SQL upgrade from the Installer.
C:\sgn_60\Tools\Database scripts\Migration scripts
Then after the installation is stright forward

I have one Question. I am upgrading from 5.60 to 6.01. It's straighforward to upgrade the server. What about the endpoints? Do any of you have a script or a solution in upgrading the enpoints automatically?
