Lenovo Fingerprints and Sophos POA doesn´t seem to get connected

Hi,

I´ve a little problem with my Lenovo fingerprint and the POA.

I´ve an Lenovo T520 and the Soophos Safeguard Enterprise version 6.0.1.31.

If I delete all Fingerprint in the Fingerprint Software (v5.9.9) the POA says at boot, that no fingerprints where found and that I have to register them in Windows. So far, so good.

Then I register fingerprints and reboot. Now I get the message, fingerprint found, but I´ve to login with passwort one time, to get it matched. But at this point, each time the same message is coming up at boot and that I have to login with password each time.

Is there any known issue with this behaviour?

Hi Melchor,

I'd suggest you look at this thread about issues with the Lenovo Fingerprint authentication with SGN. /search?q= 2395

Paying close attention to the following points:

1. Clearing fingerprint data in the BIOS

2. Ensure you are using a support version of the fingerprint app (http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/108789.aspx)

3. Set-up order (See other thread notes)

4. SGN hotkeys, especially 'F5' hotkey (http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/107781.aspx)

Note; the SGN hotkeys can be set-up during the installation when using the command line switches with the client MSI.

See how you get on with this first.
