blue screen failed NTFS.Sys

Hello

I have installed safeguard enterprise and I have configured a policy which allows me to open documents from a shared folder but if I try to open it on another computer it will encrypt it.

The problem is that when users try to open the file from that network drive they get the following error:

And restarts the computer.

He is waiting for his closest reply.

Best regards

  • Hi - This could be a known issue with Microsoft. I've logged a call with their premium support about something very similar.

    Win 10 Education 1607

    BitLocker encrypted

    Sophos SSG installed

Map a drive to an OES share and browsing the drive and/or open a document results in a BSOD.

Do check event viewer to see if you can make any sense of it -

Worth looking at the crash dumps too

    I've used http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

Can you confirm that if the user opens a standard file (that's not been encrypted) that the issue doesn't occur? Mine will crash doing any file at all...

Please do keep us updated about any detail you find - I'm desperate for a solution at present and I don't want this serious issue to prevent rolling out my already delayed scheme.

I will of course update if and when MS come back with anything of use. So far they say they've identified the cause but I don't have further detail yet!
