  • Hi Tom - The computer will be added to the server when  the correct configuration is applied to the client and talks back to the server.

If you use AD then you should have already set up the synchronising between your DC and the Sophos Server.

The computer will then appear in the correct OU/Container once it's all synchronised.

If you're not using AD then your PC should appear in .Auto Registered.

It will be best to set up a WorkGroup first (with the same name as the workgroup on the clients) and then they'll appear in the .Auto registered folder within that structure.

I suspect though that what you've done is not apply the configuration to the client after you're installed the client.

There's THREE things to install on most Windows clients

    1 - SGNClient Preinstall MSI

2 - SGN Client MSI (the main client)

    3 - Configuration MSI

The first two MSI's you need are located in where you unpacked the files (eg c:\sophos_files\sgn_801\INstallers\Client installers x86\)

The 3rd MSI must be produced by your server once it's all setup correctly. Tools - Configuration Package Tool - Managed client packages

    Hope that helps?
