Safeguard and Windows Gina

I need to encrypt drives using safeguard.  In my lab I am seeing I am not able to remove the Sophos Safeguard Gina from the login windows.  All I am able to remove logins is the windows via GPO and using {6f45dc1e-5384-457a-bc13-2cd81b0d28ed} guid.  However, this setup causes problems especially for off prem devices.  How I can install Sophos Safeguard and ONLY have the WINDOWS logon and remove SOPHOS?

  • What is it that you're trying to achieve here?

You need some sort of authentication to decrypt the drive prior to Windows start - you could always use Bitlocker encryption with the keys managed by SafeGuard and probably not use the SafeGuard Gina at all.

Edit: you can also turn off POA in the machine settings policy object - don't know if this is compatible with Device Encryption or makes sense as per my comment above.
