Migrate Client from SGE 7 standalone to SGE 8 managed possible? / Different Environment

Hello everybody!

Hope u can help me, searched the web already but didnt find my problem.

Im trying to migrate/update some SGE 7 encrypted standalone clients to SGE 8 managed clients.

We recently installed a new SGE 8 Enterprise Server. Beside we have an old Server with SafeGuard Management Center / Local Policy Editor 6.0.

A new installation of SGE 8 on Clients works fine. But if i try to update clients from 7 to 8 the configuration file fail.

Is it generally possible to update and change from standalone to managed or do i have to uninstall SGE 7 completly befor install SGE 8?

I already export the old certificate and created a cco.
