Outlook Plugin for Safeguard Encryption

Hello,

We are using Synchronized (Application Based) Encryption in SafeGuard v8 and have selected "Yes" to enable the Email add-in for Outlook under General Settings. Although we are using a 32-bit version of Outlook, the plugin and associated prompt do not appear when trying to email an encrypted file. We are running Windows 10 with Office Pro Plus 2016 32-bit. My questions are:

  • Should we be seeing the add-in in Outlook under Office Add-ins?
  • Do you know what other settings could be causing this? Or do we need to manually install this feature?

Thank you.

    Hello,

Under File > Options > Add-ins do you see this:

If not, try sending a Word document to a non-work address (like a Hotmail/Gmail account) and see if you get prompted to encrypt.
